Howdy-do young Padawans and former 4-H ladies!
Your pals the Stubbs just played a real sweet shin-dig the other night at Hollywood Alley with our new friends The Earps and Big Tex and the Blazin' Pintos.
If you couldn't make it, its ok (as I'm sure you're beating yourself up emotionally anyway), I'm sure we'll be playing with these fine fellas again in the future.
Stubbs are beginning to compile multiple master pieces for possibly another album. Could it be their magnum opus, "Cornicobica?" Is it for there compilation of rare b-sides, "Hot Cold Cuts?" Probably neither, but we'll see.
We've got a bunch of shows coming up so keep your eyes peeled (just about every weekend someplace).
Also, here's a link to a couple of videos we shot with Cap'n Crotchibald DuMont (Adam Rini, to civilians). We meant to post these long ago but plumb forgot.
Enjoy: Dance Party / DUI Videos
The Stubbs song "DUI" was featured in episode one of "Plastered Cast" The Rock n' Roll View's Podcast:
Plastered Cast!
And finally, our friends Hinton and Mozart at The Hinton & Mozart Show asked us to write a theme song to their new segment "Hinton's Travelogue" which we gladly obliged. So keep an eye out for that. (you can also subscribe to them via the Itunes store, just search for the show in the search field)
That just about does 'er. Stay gold y'all!

Howdy-do true believers! Last night (August 11th) it was made officially official: The Dagg Nabbit Stubbs were named Phoenix New Times' "Best Hard Rock Band 2009." I have informed the people at The Phoenix New Times that there was a small typo on our award; they wrote "2009" instead of "Mankind Will Ever Know." Also, I scoffed at the design of the plaque, asking the young lady running the ceremony, "How is this simple wooden trophy supposed to last the eons so that the Morlocks know what Gods to worship?" I couldn't wait for an answer as I had to deliver a speech that even the crowd didn't know they wanted to hear.
Thanks again to everyone who came out to watch us play at the battle of the bands. We could have done it without you, but it would have required Tigris hacking the New Times mainframe, which in turn would require him to learn to read... I imagine. So thanks for making it easier for us to rock the planet.
Also, our CD (Hot Garbage) was recently reviewed by the well-laid badasses at Deaf Sparrow. Read their kind words here. Then tell us what they said.
Stubbs are taking the month of September off to breed. Then we are back with a sloppy vengeance in October. Keep an eye out for dates.
That's about it from us. Thanks again everybody!
-Sweetwater Jones & DNSThe You Asked For It music review section in the Phoenix New Times has just hit it's one year anniversary and rated Hot Garbage the #1 album reviewed so far. Check it out!
The Dagg Nabbit Stubbs brought the rock so hard last night at The Last Exit that a few hours later it started to rain! Is it the angels weeping? Probably.
We want to thank everyone who came out last night for the release of our debut EP Hot Garbage. It was a tremendous turn-out and I would say a thousand people were there but I never learnt to count higher than six, myself. We would like to thank all the bands that came out and helped us put it together; The Dan Hargest Explodience, Domo, and The Revenge. We would also like to thank everyone who bought us beer, came to shows, simply didn't set us on fire (we hate that) over the years. It was really fun for us to record this album and we really hope that people enjoy it, then, ultimately support us like elderly parents who refuse to die by continuing to buy our high quality merchandise. It's a five-year plan currently on its sixth year.
Now we plan on simply sitting back on our mountains of cash and having a long, ill-deserved, vacation at rock camp. Kenny Loggins is supposed to teach a special "How to Pose for an Album Cover Symposium." Should be pretty informative.
THE END
